About Rachel
My interest in the power of nutrition for health started when I was 19, and began suffering with constant dizziness, fatigue and low mood. I tried to struggle on with University life but ended up having to return home and to my bed for a year with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME. Whilst supported by my GP, nobody was really able to suggest anything to help so I started investigating different therapies myself. I finally began to recover after visiting a naturopath, who introduced fresh vegetables, proteins and herbs into my diet and taught me how to relax and breathe properly. 6 months later, I had regained my vitality and enthusiastically followed every bit of advice and information I could get about ‘alternative’ therapies.
30 years later, having since experienced several gut issues (including the rather nasty Heliocobacter Pylori!), tropical diseases, and menopause, I finally put my passion for wellness and natural health into professional practice by qualifying with the renowned Institute of Optimum Nutrition.
I am now dedicated to helping others overcome their health issues.
My style is approachable, friendly and practical – small changes can make a big difference.
As a single parent with a full time job, I understand how hard it can be to see a way forward or to consistently look after yourself when in a hurry. There is no judgement here! Instead, I can help you to understand what is going on to cause your health issues, then make some precise changes for maximum benefit.
I am BSc qualified in Nutrition and Lifestyle Therapy (University of Portsmouth).
